What does SIDS and Kids (formerly SIDSaustralia) do?
SIDS and Kids raises money to fund research in to sudden and unexpected stillbirth, neonatal death and SIDS and is committed to reducing perinatal and infant mortality in Australia.
  
The organisation was started by parents who had experienced the death of a baby. These parents wanted to make a difference so that other families would not have to experience the tragedy of a baby dying.
 
The organisation also provides local support to bereaved families and provides community education to reduce the risk of SIDS and other sudden and unexpected deaths in infancy and early childhood from 20 weeks gestation.
