Crisis Intervention

Our Crisis Workers attend all sudden unexpected deaths within 100 Kms of Adelaide and provide telephone support to areas further than that distance from Adelaide.

The workers are notifed by the police or ambulance service and provide initial crisis intervention, information to the family about processes surrounding the death of their child and support for the family, friends and those affected by the death.

Counseling

A qualified Social Worker and an Aboriginal Bereavement Support worker provide individual and group counselling for families affected by the sudden unexpected death of a baby from 20 weeks gestation up to six years of age.

Children's Groups are conducted on a regular basis.

A Memorial Service  is held each year on Red Nose Day.

Volunteer Supporters

20 trained volunteer workers are available to support bereaved families. many have experienced the death of a child or grandchild with others being health professionals working in their local community.

Treasured Babies Program

A group of volunteers  knits, sews and makes into packs tiny garments for stillborn babies. The packs are provided free of charge to hospitals and include a naming certificate.
