Safe Sleeping Program
Educating parents and care givers of all new babies born in South Australia is a high priority.
Since 1990 our education programs giving parents advice about reducing the risk of SIDS and safe sleeping for babies and toddlers, has resulted in the saving of over 50 babies lives each year.
The program is delivered to parents through maternity hospitals, community health centres, doctors and health professionals and consists of lectures, written information and videos.
Professional Training
As a small organisation, we are reliant on health professionals assisting us with educating the community. Much of our education work is directed at continued updating and education of midwives, paramedics, ambulance officers, professional child care workers and health care workers.
Community Outreach
Information and questions regarding safe infant care is provided by telephone during business hours, and through the provision of printed materials forwarded by post.
Lectures are given upon request to community groups.
Exhibition and displays
Conducted at special events and in shopping centres throughout the year.
