This page is dedicated to stories and poems written by bereaved parents to celebrate the lives of the babies or children they have lost, and to help them work through their grief.

All have agreed to have these stories and poems published on our web site in the hope that they may help others, especially newly bereaved parents, to know that they are not alone.

These stories and poems had a special place on the internet at the SANDS WA Inc. website, which started in February 1996, and was one of the first worldwide to publish personal stories from parents.  SANDS WA Inc. and its website have now closed and joined with SIDS and Kids WA.  Over nine years the original SANDS WA Inc. site supported 65,000 people with these special poems and stories.
